Nutrihub TBISC is the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India supported Technology Business Incubator hosted by the Indian Institute of Millet Research, ICAR – IIMR, Hyderabad. Nutrihub is a unique and first of its kind organisation to cater start-ups needs in the Nutricereals sector of the country. Nutrihub is a focal point where ideas, entrepreneurs, agriprenuers, start-ups, experts, the academic and the funding agencies shall gravitate towards creation of a new knowledge-based economy. ICAR-IIMR through its TBI would like to contribute to the success of the National Innovation system, by providing the right ambience and infrastructure for nurturing innovation, technical skills and entrepreneurial talents of thousands of millets stakeholders.

Nutrihub has the requisite expertise available in-house in the relevant focal areas of Nutri-cereals and also proposes to conduct events ranging from events on cooking with millets, spreading awareness or promotion of millets and value-added products along with technology transfer.

Sensitization Workshops, Boot Camps and Company Management Seminars. The incubator is well connected with transport and communication system horizontal dissemination of millets promotion and commercialization across the country.

Name of the post: Research Manager (Food Technology); Project: MoFPI – PMFME

Emoluments: Rs. 80,000 (Basic 60,000 + HRA + Allowances)

Essential qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Food Technology/Food Science & Nutrition/Microbiology/Agribusiness
Management/ Food Engineering and allied fields with minimum of 60% marks.
PhD degree will be an additional qualification.
2-3 years research experience in relevant field.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in FMCG/ Food Sector, basic knowledge in cereals processing machinery, postharvest
machinery, primary processing machinery, also able to handle incubation, startups, ability to analyze
data and documentation skills.
Proficiency in English, and sufficient knowledge in MS-Office and computer usage.
Willing to travel for field visits to micro processing units from various states

Roles and Responsibilities:

•Design and development of new processed food products and recipes.
▪ Work closely with the product development and production teams to help deliver factory-ready products.
▪ Basic studies on Shelf life enhancement of milled and value added products of millets
▪ Research on the latest trends and technologies, and understand the consumer markets.
▪ Devise, new product specifications, product development, quality parameters, shelf life etc.
▪ Design and development of packing, packaging and labelling materials.

▪ Re-evaluating the existing product line and making necessary changes wherever required.
▪ Conducting various study and surveys to understand changing needs, food preferences and taste trends of the consumers.
▪ Coordinate with technical and commercial departments in procurement, sales, technical services, production and marketing & distribution.
▪ Coordinate with different stakeholders of Food Technology including research institutions and food inspection agencies.
▪ Monitor and improve the safety and quality control procedures and parameters at different stages, from the raw material stage to the finished product. Manage and oversee the safety, quality and legality of food produced.

▪ Collaborating with various stakeholders in the value-chain to promote and maintain the visibility of the organization.
▪ Organize workshops, conferences, exhibitions, training programmes and other such events to promote the activities of the organization and the project.
▪ Represent the organization and the project at different professional Forums and Conferences.
▪ Project reporting and documentation in terms of publishing research articles and popular literature
▪ Travel to field visits and exposure trips to have a better understanding of the latest developments and needs of the project.
▪ Any other work allocated by PI/CEO

Name of the post: Research Executive; Project: APEDA

Emoluments: Rs.35000/- (Consolidated)

Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in Food Chemistry or Biochemistry/ Agrl. Biotechnology/ Instrumentation and allied fields. Candidates with Postgraduate degree in Basic sciences.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in handling and maintenance of lab equipment and instrumentation, process standardization, food analysis, data compilation and analysis. Able to resolve basic problems at lab.

Name of the post: Assistant Business Manager (Program Manager) – Nutrihub
Project: RKVY-RAFTAAR

Emoluments: Rs.70,000/- (Consolidated) (Note: Salary Breakup will be as per Nutrihub TBISC)

Eligibility:
Essential Qualifications: MBA/ M.Tech/ PGDM/ Equivalent Master Degree in Agri-Business/ Finance/ Marketing/ Agri Marketing/ Agri Economics/ Economics/ Technology Commercialization/ Food
Technology/ Entrepreneurship and allied fields from Recognized Institute/ University.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Track record of running programs and managing people,
Ability to analyze businesses and their potential growth,
Experience with Startup Ecosystem or been a founder or initial employees of startup gets extra points
Prior experience at incubators or investment firms will be preferred,
Skills in research, documentation and proficiency in English is an added advantage
Competence in working with multidimensional & multicultural environment is desirable

Experience: At least 2-3 years in Technology Commercialization, Supported Incubators, Assessment,
Evaluation of Projects Startups and with experience in sharp ecosystem, and Entrepreneurial nature &
industry/ Incubation experience (Agri/ Food sector preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinating with Executive Management in helping setup infrastructure, process and program for a strong Incubation offering.
Attract, Identify and select potential incubates/ startups for the incubation
program and able to design and execute programs for nurturing startups.
Able to run marketing & promotional campaigns to source startups for Incubation program.
Assist startups in the areas of strategy, business plan development, market analysis, company registrations & understand the requirements of startups and build a mentoring relationship through the mentor pool.
Define deliverables, their timelines and monitor progress of startups.
Define, build and finalize client
agreements and all other compliance work around incubators and startups.
Signing of MoUs and build
networks with key partners that will strengthen the incubator. Promote IIMR to attract the best startups
and help build and shape the brand image.
Creating relations with investment network and help startups
to raise investments.
Plan & implement for ongoing events around Startups to make IIMR a hub for
startups
Should gather data from internal and external resources, compile them and present them CEO.
Need to give presentations of the data they have collected and explain how it can help the project in making strategic plans for profitable business & revenue generation in future.
Should be able to analyze
the market for potential buyers and the demand. • Work with students, Faculty and Management to
ensure entrepreneurship and innovation become an integral part of our system.
Develop and maintain
relationships with ecosystem enablers, investors, government bodies, service companies etc.
Should be able to organize Board meetings and make presentations to clientele/ stakeholders covered with respect to strategic plans & revenue generation plans for sustainability of incubator.
Should be able to draft
proposals for Grant in aids & specific documents for other institutions.
In addition, assist the CEO with
the duties assigned from time to time.
Preparation for interview:
Candidates may come prepared with a vision document in brief. It should have a definite revenue generation plan for Nutrihub for the next five years. This should be prepared for discussion with the panel.

Terms & Conditions:

The above posts are purely temporary and on contractual basis till expiry of the project.
The age limit of above position is up to 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on the date of interview. (Age
can be relaxed upto 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules)
For the post of Assistant Business Manager (S.No-6) under RKVY-RAFTAAR project, the age limit is 40 years for
both men and women. (age relaxation of 5 years is allowed for exceptional cases)
