Regulatory Affairs – Job Description
Position: Sr. Manager – Regulatory affairs
Reporting to: National Head – QA
Location: Mumbai HO
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- B. Tech in food technology
- Minimum 15-18 yrs of experience of working in food industry, preferably beverage industry, including both manufacturing location and corporate roles in QA and handling legal affairs.
- In depth knowledge of regulations & requirements of regulatory agencies along with technical skills as mentioned below.
- FSSAI: Basic licensing process on FOSCOS, Labelling regulations, Modification of licenses, thorough knowledge of “conditions of license” for manufacturer, relabeller, storage, distribution, transporter etc. Various clauses related to deviation and penalties.
- BIS : Complete knowledge of licensing, testing protocols, marking requirements, SIT etc. for packaged drinking water and Natural mineral water.
- Legal metrology : Regulations for pack size registration, stamping, penalty clauses in case of deviation, labelling requirements as per weights and measurements .
- CGWA : Process and criteria for obtaining NOC, other requirements i.e. water conservation, rain water harvesting etc.
- PCB : Complete knowledge of obtaining CTE/CTO as per requirements and to ensure compliance as per norms.
- Excellent communication skills along with drafting expertise for various regulatory activities.
- Preferably should have undergone various training programs related to regulatory affairs.
