In 1952, our founder, Dr. Ruben Rausing, together with Swedish engineer, Erik Wallenberg, developed a tetrahedron-shaped paper packaging carton as an alternative to the heavy glass bottles used for packaging and distributing milk. Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and impactful professional to be our Project Leader (Dairy Technologist) for our PDIC team in Tetra Pak India.
The position will be based in Chakan, Pune and will require 20 % travel as and when needed.
What you will do
- Convert product concepts to industrially feasible and consumer-relevant products.
- Apply expertise in ingredient functionality and principles of food technology for optimum product design.
- Demonstrates ability to convert pilot plant experiments to scaled-up manufacturing.
- Utilizes structured process of analysis, design, contingency planning and resolution of product development problems.
- Effectively communicates technical topics to various audiences to influence decisions.
- Effectively utilizes networking relationships with internal stakeholders as well as partner suppliers to acquire technical knowledge and expertise.
- Utilizes all pertinent regulatory guidelines to ensure legal compliance and product safety at PDIC.
- Effectively lead a project in a technical team or in cross-functional teams.
- Innovate and ‘think out of the box’ to deliver new food products and solutions which meet customer requirements.
- Documentation of all scientific development works in compliance to company requirements.
- Conduct shelf-life studies in line with local and global requirements.
We believe you have
- Postgraduate/Ph.D. in Dairy Technology/Dairy Chemistry/Food Technology.
- 6-10 years of experience in B2B/B2C food related industries with people management skills.
- Food technology & product formulations – Expert level skills through education or proven experience
- Capability to up-scale from pilot plant experimentation to industrial production
- Experience working in the processing area or being involved in project driven by process or technology is a must.
- Experience in process development and technical assessment of process conditions is an advantage.
- Good understanding of nutritional industry and ingredients is an advantage.
- Experience in UHT and Aseptic technology is plus.
- New Product development knowledge and experience in Dairy/Juices
- Professionalism, patience, and a “Customer-first” attitude
- Be able to work in safe and hygienic manner following GMP/GLP requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving, product documentation, and product development skills.
- Passionate about NPDs and able to work independently.
- Attention to details with good analytical, organized and follow through.
