Nestlé is brewing up a coffee buzz in the ice cream world, with the first product launch featuring NESCAFÉ – which also breaks new ground for the company by using real soluble coffee in both the coating and the ice cream core. Sold in a recyclable paper wrapper – NESCAFÉ Gold Cappuccino Ice Cream is now on sale through a pilot launch in Malaysia.
Developed by our R&D team in Singapore, working with our commercial teams, the ice cream stick uses Nestlé’s patented ‘soft coating’ technology to create a soft ganache coating using real NESCAFÉ Gold soluble coffee. This melts at a similar rate to the ice cream inside, to create the perfect balance of ‘coffee-ness’, milkiness and sweetness.
