We are now seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual with food ingredient experience to join the Food Ingredient team as Application Leader, Food Ingredients.
Your Focus:
As an Application Leader, you will be leading and managing the technical/application team for the India Subcontinent sub-region with IFF vision, mission, principles, and strategy to support sales growth profitably.
This is a Gurgaon, India based position and will report to Greater Asia Application Leader, Food Ingredients.
How You Will Contribute:
- Lead and motivate a talented technical/application team serving varied customers & distributors.
- Establish a culture of safety, trust and accountability while meeting the speed to market demands.
- Coach technical/application team to collaborate and build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, so that they can deliver best solutions to win customer projects.
- Proactively gather customer and consumer insights on emerging industry technology trends to develop new solutions.
- Ignite/motivate growth, support the team to deliver value to customers.
- Promote a strong safety culture required for a safe working environment.
- Create an environment that attracts, develops and retains talent.
- Understand and leverage internationally IFF’s strategy, organization, capabilities, proprietary technologies, resources, product and service offerings.
- Lead/participate in cross functional and cross-cultural teams through specific complex and technically challenging initiatives.
- Represent the business at technical trade shows and conferences to promote IFF capabilities and technology to industry.
- Actively manage multiple value chain customer engagements while working alongside with internal cross functional team.
- Set clear technical/application targets for team annually, aligned to strategic plan.
- Support commercial team to achieve profitable growth of ISC Food Ingredients Business in line with agreed KPIs.
- Oversee the application operating procedures, governance of GMP and safety and ensure resource utilization are within budget.
What you will need to be successful:
- Master’s Degree preferably in Food Science, Chemistry or any other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 15+ years of application experience preferably in Business-to-Business model in Food ingredients, Foods, FMCG, Specialty Chemicals/ Ingredients.
- 5+ years of experience leading a technical/application team at country level.
- In-depth knowledge of local industry, trends, competition, technology and displays passion for food and food ingredients.
- Technically competent in food ingredient chemistry to lead an experienced team in solution delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to connect cross-category customer needs in the assigned market(s) to IFF solutions.
- Excellent networking, collaborative and problem-solving skills with the ability to facilitate activities of cross functional teams.
- Strong Leader, entrepreneurial, agile with strong negotiating and organizational skills. Ability to motivate and influence a multi-functional team, efficiently manage resources to ensure business priority is managed.
- Person of integrity – lead by example.
- Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
- Confident, enthusiastic, dynamic personality, with ability to empower and generate interpersonal trust by delivering on commitments.
