Position Summary:
Responsible for implementation of Quality and Food Safety for product manufactured at plant. Leads plant quality on functional level comprising of supervision of food safety, quality, man management, employee engagement, cost analysis and quality improvement program.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Monitoring of testing requirements of FSSAI, conduct testing from outside accredited Lab as per testing frequency and matrix. Verification and interpretation of external reports and ensuring the legal compliance are met for product manufactured.
OUTSIDE LAB TESTING
Analytical and microbiological testing from external lab as per McCain and Customer requirement.
MAN MANAGEMENT
Performance of subordinates is achieved against their agreed KPI’s.
Implementation of training / development plan for all subordinates.
Support the Quality leaders to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of outgoing quality functions.
Leads engagement program for quality team by monthly tracking of performance of team and implement Reward &Recognition program.
MICROBIOLOGY
Supervision of micro lab operation and review of micro reports.
Conduct Proficiency testing of newly inducted and existing microbiologist.
BUDGET
Preparation AOC budget for Quality Department, planning and observation on all the vertical so that AOC limits are within the budget.
SUPLLIER AUDIT SCHEDULING
Preparation of annual supplier audit schedules and ensure that supplier audits are conducted as per supplier audit schedule. Review of closure of non-conformity and gap closure status update from auditor.

CUSTOMER HANDLING
Complaint handling, conducting root cause analysis and corrective action plan.
Cross functional coordination with plant functions for investigation of the complaint and update closure status of the complaint.
MANAGEMENT SENSORY
Participate in management product cutting programme.
ACCEPT / HOLD / REJECTION
Review of accept / hold/ reject decisions of the area leaders and provides instant guidance and help in resolving critical issue related to food safety and quality.
Supervises the raw material and packaging material incoming processes. Decision making on non-conforming material.
Review of raw potato quality with receiving lab area leader.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
Improve Standard Deviation of quality attributes in McDonald’s Products.
SAP OPERATION
Preparation of MMRF of Finished Goods, Raw Material and Packaging material.
BI report from SAP.
Problem solving in day to day activity of QA SAP function.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Conduct frequent trainings for awareness of quality & food safety system.
Make sure that training is given to all QA personnel of the department so that they can well perform the assigned tasks effectively; manage the budget of the QA department and its other administrative functions in order to make sure that the operation is effectively conducted, cost saving and well integrated
AUDITS
Functional level preparation for audits as FSSC 22000, EIA, HALAL.
Preparation of customer audits as SQMS, Yum Star and Burger King.

SAFETY
Supervise all regulations on safety, take on all required safety equipment, give encouragement to staff on practicing safe working regulations, handle with apparent difficulties at once for inform them to observers.
Attends safety review meeting, Risk assessment in QA function area for safety.

- He should have effective report writing skills.
- He should have excellent analytical abilities to grasp the key points from complicated details.
- Must have knowledge of legal compliance such as FSSAI and Legal Metrology.
- He should have awareness regarding GMP practices, Food Safety Audits like FSSC, HALAL, AIB etc.
- Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, and ideally Access or similar database to basic level, Internet and email.
- He should have good leadership capabilities to lead projects to successful completion.
- Leads the organization in all external audits on behalf of the company’s management.
