Job Description
Responsibilities / Principal Accountabilities :
• Building vision and roadmap for the CoE to deliver competitive advantage and make business impact
• Designing, developing, and executing experimental protocols with the goal of delivering new F & Fs as per global trends
• Understanding on popular F & F from vendors
• Creating the concept, enrolling with the co-investigators, experimental design, data analysis and interpretation
• Application of F & F (evaluation/ tasting/ sensory-scores/ organoleptic/ consumer preference test, etc.)
• Knowledge on current regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies, equipment, delivery systems, raw materials, and flavour processes
• Evaluation for F & F and sensory science
• Extraction methods of essential oils from natural resources
• Demonstrate ability to effectively deliver new products from inception to completion according to established guidelines and timelines to give competitive advantage to ITC
• Key member in task force on LSTC plan creation – 5 – 10 years
• Identify future areas of opportunities and create scoping projects based on trends and regulations
• Explore new collaborations, technologies and approaches and determine their applicability
• Provide directions to the team on development programs
• Team development and talent management
• Ensure compliance to EH&S
Determine resource requirements (internal and external) and plan for project costs

Requirements
Qualifications : Ph.D. in Fragrances and Flavours or Organic Chemistry or Essential Oils or Cosmeceuticals or Food Sciences
Work Experience : 15+ years of experience working within specific science domain and/or adjacent science domains
Skills : Must have strong fundamental understanding of aroma and taste bearing molecules (synthetic / natural) to assist in research related to creation, development, and evaluation of fragrances and flavours. Thorough knowledge on the chemistry of essential oils, aroma chemicals etc., their interaction with food and personal care matrices and their ability to impact human sensory. Must be able to create fragrances and flavours using advanced methods. Ability to assess and take risks, deal with ambiguity & unknowns, provide a plan to convert unknowns into known and bringing in agility and purposeful innovations
