Job Description

Managing the day to day operation of the concerned department in complying and in safe manner.
To ensure that only current and authorized documents are being used in department.
To review the request for testing and proper registration of them.
To raise the requirement for the subcontracting of test and subcontract the test for approved parameter to approved subcontractor only.To maintain and ensure the supply of required resource and conduct the necessary checks to ensure the proper quality of supplies.
To provide the technical inputs to the customer care departments to the queries raised by customersTo ensure the active participation in investigation of root cause for the customer complaints received against the results issued by the department and to ensure the implementation of necessary corrective and preventive actions promptly.
Ientifying any deviations in the lab and halting the work if required or as directed from Quality Manager. Identifying the root cause, taking the corrective and preventive action promptly.
To ensure that OOS is raised for relevant out of specification results from the concerned department and to conduct the supervisor level investigation of the same and to report the same to QIG for further investigation.
To actively participate, facilitate and attend the internal audits and additional audits and external audits in the department.

To attend the management review meeting and provide the report about the performance of the department for management review.
Provide the feedback to the QM about the training needs to include in calendar and conduct the training as per the plan.
Evaluation and approving the Scientists qualification before allotting the independent work and updating the capability matrix.
To ensure the appropriate accommodation and environmental conditions in the department as per the requirement of various tests.
Selection, verification and validation and approval of the test methods,
To estimate the uncertainty of all the tests with consideration of all the potential factors
Writing, formulation and verification of technical documents like test protocol, calibration protocols, work instruction etc.
Verifying the accuracy and validity of technical data, ensuring its proper recording and archiving.
Ensuring the availability of adequate equipments and instruction for operation, calibration, intermediate checks and maintenance and implementation of them.
Ensuring the availability and validity of required RM’s, CRM’s
To ensure that applicable sampling protocols are available with department and implemented
Ensuring the proper handling and integrity of the test samples in the department and submit back to the archival and safe disposal of perishable items.
Design and implementation of QC program for all the tests performed in the lab and halting the work when QC criterion exceeded.
Liaison with Quality Manager in relation to quality matters affecting the testing.
Be authorized signatory for the reports in their specific area of specialization
