URJA is looking for a QA Manager to head its food safety & quality at our manufacturing facility in Thrissur, Kerala. In this role, you will help URJA continue its mission of offering innovative coconut beverages to our customers worldwide. You will work on all facets of product quality, and safety thereby making sure the product is 100% safe & of higher quality and comply with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement food safety and quality policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation regarding GMPs, HACCP, processing analysis, and environmental monitoring.
- Monitor all aspects of the production process to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure all equipment, facilities and personnel are in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on food safety and quality policies and procedures
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to food safety and quality issues
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure they are meeting our quality standards and specifications
- Stay up to date with changes in food safety regulations and industry best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on food safety and quality management
- Proven track record of developing and implementing food safety and quality management programs
- Excellent knowledge of FDA and other regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
