Quality Officer- Dairy Microbiologist
Stakeholders (Internal) · Factory Manager; Other Departmental Manager/Officer; Assistant manager Quality control and Quality Assurance , Other Quality Control Officer, Regional Quality Manager/Officer, Food Safety Officer, Microbiologist, Corporate Quality Manager, Internal Auditors etc
Job purpose
Manage Quality & Food safety standards of raw milk as per BIL manual in shifts, and highlight any quality non compliances to factory QAM. Support the Senior QA officer in Quality, Food safety & Regulatory compliance for raw milk reception in tankers/bulk milk coolers/chilling centres/societies.
Key Job Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following:
- Microbial and Chemical Quality testing of all products
- Media Preparation
- Autoclaving & Sterilization
- Swab Analysis of equipments and machines
- Identification, preservations and maintenance of pure microbial culture
- Environmental monitoring · Instrumentation & Calibration knowledge of pH meter, weighing balance, colony counter, Laminator air flow cabinet, Incubators, hot air oven, Autoclave, water bath, centrifuge, muffle furnace
- Trend Analysis of microbiological data to Measure effectiveness or improvement
- Identify sensitive (high microbial count) material/area/product contact surfaces, and work to reduce the high microbial count to obtain a safe product.
- OTHERS: · FSSC Audits · Implementation of GMP, GLP, GHP, GIs and LIs
Education Qualification
Dairy Technology / Food Technology / M. Tech-Microbiology-will be an added advantage
- Desired competencies Instruments & Calibrations knowledge, Analytical skills,
- Experience (in years) 2 to 5 years in Dairy Microbiology
