Walk- in- interview for the posts of Assistant Professor, University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), is a multi-campus university, named after great patriotic leader Jenab Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah popularly known as Sher-e-Kashmir. It was established in the year 1982 through an Act of the J&K Assembly, with its headquarter at Shalimar, Srinagar. In the year1998-99, the University was renamed as Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-Kashmir) and its territorial jurisdiction redefined to Kashmir and Ladakh regions..

Applications are invited from eligible and desirous candidates for a walk-in -interview for the temporary positions of Assistant Professors on academic arrangement basis in the Faculty of Dairy Technology, on 23-07-2024. The particulars for the posts are given below:

Dairy Technology, Assistant Professor, 2 post

Essential qualification – Master’s degree in Dairy Technology/Livestock Products Technology/Dairy Science and Technology
OR Master’s degree in Food Technology/ Food Science and Technology/Animal Husbandry and Dairying with specialization in Dairy Technology
OR Candidate (s) having Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines as listed above under point 1 and 2 criteria shall also be eligible in
case he/she doesn’t have the eligibility qualification specified above at master’s level.

Dairy Engineering, Post – 1

1. Masters in Dairy Engineering/Food Engineering/ Food Process Engineering OR

2. Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with
   specialization in Dairy Engineering
   OR
3. Candidate (s) having Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines
   as listed above under point 1 and 2 criteria shall also be
   eligible in case, he/she doesn’t have the eligibility qualification
   specified above at master’s level.

Dairy Business Management, Post – 2

1. Master’s degree in Dairy Business Management/Dairy Economics
   OR
2. Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics/Agri Business Management/Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education (with specialization in Dairy Economics/Dairy
   Business Management)
   OR
3. Candidate (s) having Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines as listed above under point 1 and 2 criteria shall also be eligible in case, he/she doesn’t have the eligibility qualification specified above at master’s level.

Dairy Microbiology, Post 2

1. Master’s degree in Dairy Microbiology
2. Masters in Veterinary Microbiology with specialization in Dairy Microbiology
   OR
3. Candidate (s) having Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines as listed above under point 1 and 2 criteria shall also be eligible in case he/she doesn’t have the eligibility qualification specified above at master’s level.

Dairy Chemistry, Post – 2

1. Masters in Dairy Chemistry
   OR
2. Masters in Veterinary or Animal sciences with specialization in Dairy Chemistry
   OR
3. Candidate (s) having Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines as listed above under point 1 and 2 criteria shall also be eligible in case, he/she doesn’t have the eligibility qualification specified above at master’s level.

Consolidated wages will be Rs 35,000/per month for Masters’ and Rs 45,000 for Ph.D. candidates

The Interview shall be conducted on 23-07-2024 at 2.00 PMam in the office of Director Education, SKUAST-J Chatha 180009(J&K). The application form complete in all respect along with attested copies of the certificates and accompanied with Demand Draft of Rs 300/- drawn in favour of Dean, Faculty of Dairy Technology, payable at R.S. Pura should be deposited in the office at the time of interview. An advance copy of application form along with a brief resume may be emailed at deanfdt@skuastj.org

Terms and conditions for academic arrangement are as under:

1. The engagement shall be purely on contractbasis.
2. No legal right to claim his/her regularization / appointment by absorption or otherwise against
   any regular post in the University would be entertained. In event of the relinquishing of the
   engagement onemonth notice isessential.
3. The appointment is for one semester or till the sanctioned posts are filled through recruitment
   process by the Competent Authority, whichever is earlier. The extension for one more
   semester may be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the contractee and availability
   of the funds and requirement of thefaculty.
4. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending theinterview.
5. The contractual positions advertised herein can be withdrawn at any stage as per the decision of
   the University.
